The first ever Electronics Revival took place in Paignton at the end of April with over 80 delegates from as far afield as Bristol, Cambridge and London.

Malcolm Penn from Future Horizons gave an enlightening speech declaring that the 'Greed of Capitalism' is to blame for many of the credit crunch issues facing businesses around the world. How prophetic!

Dan Dearing from Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network one of the main sponsors of the event together with Silicon South West, emphasised the importance of pooling resources and knowledge on a national basis. EKTN have just launched a new free on-line catalogue to help increase awareness of companies’ products and services in the electronics sector.

At the end of the meeting, many delegates took the opportunity to visit Syntech Technologies, a local Contract Electronic Manufacturer. Mike Badcott, one of the founding directors, gave an interesting tour of the facilities and Syntech's diverse business.
