Registration and Friday Plus Membership
- Why do I have to register?
- You don't have to register to use our site. We would however encourage you to join our mailing list to ensure that you are kept up to date with news about business support and training and development opportunities. Some areas of our site are available only to Friday Plus subscribers and if you think the benefits these areas offer would be of use to you, why not join Friday Plus.
- Can I still attend 1st Friday and/or 3rd Friday meetings if I'm not a member of Friday Plus?
- Of course, 1st and 3rd Friday meetings are open to all business people and we will be very pleased to see you there. Please note that, if you are not a member of Friday Plus, there is a £5 charge per meeting.
Renting office space
- What is included in the monthly rental?
- Office space, telephone line rental and broadband, business rates, lighting, heating and building insurance, and free use of the meeting rooms – up to 4 times per month??? - together with business advice and mentoring.
- What is not included in the monthly rental?
- Actual cost of phone calls, cleaning your unit, contents & third party liability insurance.
- What about electricity and heating? Is that included?
- Yes!
- What about furniture in my office?
- Depends on the individual centres – Paignton has furniture provided, whilst in Torquay and Ivybridge, you can either rent to buy or supply your own furniture. Flexibility is key and different businesses have different needs.
- How do I book the meeting rooms?
- You will be able to liaise on booking the rooms through the Centre Coordinator.
- What about parking?
- There are different parking conditions in each of the three Centres – Paignton has free parking on site, Torquay offers one parking space per tenant unit, whilst Ivybridge has a public car parking opposite or alternatively on-street parking nearby.
- How many units can I occupy – can I knock them into one another?
- Demountable partitions are a feature of some of the Centres. Please discuss individual requirements with the Centre Manager.
- Will I be able to use my office in the evenings and at weekends?
- Yes, all tenants have 24/7 access.
- What about my IT in my office?
- Tenants are required to complete a simple advance-notice questionnaire about their IT needs. Tenant hardware installation must be approved by the Centre’s IT manager.
- When can I move in?
